Three New Staff Members Hired to Assist with Firm’s Expanding Business Base.

Mark Krueger and Associates, Inc. hired three new staff to handle the firm’s growing business. The additional, leadership level staff allows the firm to expand its role as a strategic service provider to major pharmaceutical companies, as well as biotechnology, device and diagnostic companies.

David Golub

David Golub joins the firm as a vice president. David held previous roles in media, government and nonprofit organizations, most recently serving as a regional vice president for the American Cancer Society. In this capacity, David played a leadership role in cancer-related advocacy efforts to fund screening programs, expand insurance coverage, and enact smoke-free workplace laws. David also helped shape the group's patient navigation strategy, developing the Clinician's Portal, a web-based tool to link cancer patients with information and services.
David will continue to serve as a co-primary investigator on a National Cancer Institute-funded study of cancer-related community health promotion strategies. David holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago, where he did graduate work in intellectual history.

Cynthia Jay

Cynthia Jay joins the firm as a vice president. Previously, Cindy was the managing director for the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies in New York City. She has a broad-based background in health care, working in managed care, a major diagnostic laboratory, non-profit, and academia.
Cindy assisted in the development of managed mental health plan products and services, and has helped advance health promotion strategies and agendas through her founding role with the international newsletter, "Health Promotion: Global Perspectives." Additionally, she has worked with health disparities among various populations, and developed a usable patient-centered disease management process from a community-based project focused on H-pylori-induced peptic ulcer disease. She holds an M.S. in health management from American University and a B.A. in English from Old Dominion University.

Amber Spierer

Amber Spierer joins the firm as an associate. Previously, Amber worked at in the health care dvision of GCI group, the global public relations firm. She is currently completing work toward a masters in public health at the Joseph A. Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University in New York City.
Amber brings to MK&A an understanding of the many aspects of ally development, including relationship-building, thought-leader development, clinical trial recruitment, and crisis management in the areas of HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular health, and oncology.
