Ellen Coleman, senior vice president Cathy Ferrone, senior associate Heather Hollowell, senior associate Mark Krueger, president Jean Mossman, managing director, Europe Anne Olshan, senior consultant Robert Preston, associate Gary Rose, vice president Amber Spierer, vice president Heather Hollowell, MPA Senior associate Heather Hollowell has more than 20 years’ experience creating strategic corporate social responsibility, communications, and public affairs programs, more than 15 of which have been in the pharmaceutical industry. Her areas of expertise encompass nonprofit association management, communications; community and trade relations; corporate philanthropy; program development, implementation, and evaluation; and special events. Prior to joining Mark Krueger and Associates, Inc., in February 1998, Heather served as director of communications and public affairs for Nycomed Amersham Imaging (now GE Healthcare). In that position she was responsible for corporate communications (internal and external), media relations, and liaison to industry associations including the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and the Health Care Institute of New Jersey. While at Nycomed Amersham, Heather developed the company’s community relations program. Heather has also provided consulting services to Perlman Communication Services. She helped this communications and public affairs firm provide crisis preparedness training and develop missions, goals, and values for corporations and not-for-profit agencies. Clients included pharmaceutical companies and medical schools. Heather came to Nycomed Amersham from Sterling Winthrop Inc., a global research-based pharmaceutical and consumer health products company that she served as director, community and industry relations. At Sterling Winthrop she conceived, developed, implemented, and evaluated strategic philanthropic and community relations programs that furthered corporate goals and objectives. She developed and nurtured partnerships with organizations ranging from AmeriCares and Project HOPE to the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology. She also served as the company’s principal liaison to a diverse group of business and trade associations ranging from PhRMA to the New York City Partnership. Heather has also been a member of the adjunct faculty of the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. She taught introductory, graduate-level management courses on team building and conflict management that covered practical skills and academic theory. She has also been a pro bono consultant to and member of the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations, with which she has shared her skills in fundraising, volunteer management, and membership development. Heather received a B.A. in English and French from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in public administration (specialization in public and nonprofit management) from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
